Just go to MD list and count who’s not in there same seat anymore. So a little less temporary and I said temporary ALV beats loss of seat pay, going back to Atlanta for training, etc IMO!
Motojoe I normally don't reply to a difference of opinion, we all have our own point of view. But you said "this is not true". I am curious as to exactly what you think I said is not true. Here is what I posted in bullets:

The majority of pilots did not get displaced (this is a fact, 6633 MDs)
a lot that did had a lateral move i.e. 777 to 350 (fact, I did not say all the 777 pilots moved laterally as you imply)
a base move to same equipment (fact)
and a surprising number actually moved up in equipment pay (surprisingly is a subjective term but it is a fact many pilots moved up)
So for the majority of pilots an ALV reduction is a paycut. (fact)

What you said about 777 to 350, large number of MDs, and pilots going UNA is all true but I never claimed otherwise. This is of course a huge backward move for a lot of pilots, just not the majority.

I am trying to not come off as uncaring to the plight of all the displaced pilots and especially those going UNA. I have personally been in their shoes so to speak. I said at the start that I was just discussing the numbers.

well your probably smarter than I as a matter of fact I think most on this forum are. It’s not just same money lateral moves. it’s moves, down, up, sideways, lower bidding positions and the time away from home with unexpected training or loss of a pilot job, etc. this effects almost everyone. This has never been about just 🤑. So, if something were to save your pocketbook or commuting way of life I would think it would have to be weighed heavily before voting no.

Excellent post overall.

It seems their lack of foresight concerning pilot issues roughly coincides with Steve Dickson’s departure, don’t you think? The pilot operation has definitely gone downhill.

That is NOT what he said but reading his post between the lines.........................I would agree with your statement. He made the comment that he thought both sides were acting in good faith. This being from, IMO, one of the more militant Reps. Militant probably isn't the right word but you get my drift.

So which will come first? A COVID-19 vaccine or a Delta ER program?

They're "looking for a path to announce [an ERP] in the coming weeks"... slower than I was expecting but should beat the vaccine by a couple of years.

For those of us that don’t know who “he” is what base? Last word from my rep, NYC, was that they were going to get the info on the EO yesterday or today. Are you saying it’s now once again back with the company?

He is based on the West Coast. That is what his post from today implied. He said the MEC saw the proposal and that negotiations are progressing. There is nothing to vote on yet. They are expecting it to be done this week but that is up to the Company as it is in their hands now.
