This right here the AE literally said all 1,941 will be excluded. If people still seriously thinks the company is not playing games with us idk what else they are doing. They just keep adding stress levels to all us UNA/potential furloughees

Junior Capt in ATL on reinstatement was a 2014 hire . Junior Capt on AE in ATL is a 2007 hire (mid 2000 hire for NWA). Break line in ATL for A was virtually on the last class before furlough on the DAL side. Not sure when NWA stopped hiring in 01 or how many they hired.

If you're in the 505, and not furloughed another AE coming out in October will place you somewhere.
After reading the 505 memo, I think that is the number of people on UNA from closed categories. I don’t think that number includes UNAs who just did not have the seniority to reinstate to their pre Covid category if that category still exists

No there are people like me from the 1941 who are supposed to be UNA, but still haven't converted and are still flying, but weren't senior enough to hold a reinstatement and thus are still in limbo. People junior to me in other categories were reinstated.

You're not in limbo though. You will be furloughed Oct 1, unless CARES gets extended.

Edit: and so will those junior to you who were artificially reinstated.

I did not and that's my error. I was quick to jump on here and say WTF before carefully revisiting what I did. I had haphazardly gone through the bid card because of the line "Because junior pilots will receive furlough notification shortly (all pilots hired on, or after July 17, 2017 will receive a furlough notice), and will be excluded from this bid" found in the third paragraph of the AE notice.

That is why after my initial post most of my frustration has been around the question of: why was anyone from the 1941 reinstated or awarded anything? The line from the AE memo seems pretty clear that the 1941 should not expect their names on the AE results at all.

If he/she isn't furloughed (whether by CARES being extended or by agreement between ALPA and the Company), I'd say he/she is in limbo.

I was assigned UNA and marked to convert in Oct. but was one of the 600 saved. My category still exists however I was not reinstated in the AE. Nothing shows for future category in icrew and I’m able to bid in Oct for my old category...

They're just going to push your conversion date far back, and you'll probably get awarded something in the next AE and never actually convert to UNA.

How will we be treated in the AE? People junior to me got reinstated to a lower paying aircraft in my base, but my category shrunk. Under a normal AE, I would be displaced into that lower paying category. I would like that to happen since I live in base. Would the October AE treat me as a displaced pilot?
