The increased gross weight ensures the A-350 will have no problems flying LAX - SYD*.

*Assumes current 60% load factors, VFR weather at YSCB and no significant weather deviations despite spending 4 hours crossing the ITCZ diagonally.

It was JL, so there is room for interpretation regarding truthfulness of the answer.
Too bad we couldn't wet lease some 777 to amazon for the holiday shipping. Hey, it's revenue going to waste..

Poor JL, with the 777's gone he won't have any sim experience on any of our active fleet...

The GW enhancement that is present On 2513 is the rain repellent delete, which ought to allow for a minute of extra APU run or one pax to bring their therapy ferret!

I was keyed to the changeover supposedly coming on 14/15 by the several LCAs I’ve flown with, but I’m not convinced until I’m enjoying a shrimp on the barbie down under.
Hah! Kinda hard to see the difference on winglets unless 3513 is parked next to, say, 3501. There is a slight difference in the winglets size and twist. And yup, 3513 can get a bit "pudgier" than 3501-3512. It maxes out at 617.3K (MTOW) versus the "anorexic" 606.3K (MTOW) for 3501-3512. And I think they forget the rain repellant in 3512 too. If only they swapped it for brake fans for the PEK taxi.

Make sure that shrimp.on the barbie is served on Bondai...best scenery in SYD.

They are -200 but -300 engines ,wings and gear if I remember correctly. Call it the heavy and long mod if you will. They come this way from the factory. MTOW over 750k.

if only airbus would do this with the 350; -900 length with the upgraded engines, wings and gear of the -1000 to get the -1000’s MTOW of 696k LBS
