This is one of the two sticking points on negotiations.
First was engine MRO rights for Delta; it sounds like that’s been agreed on.
Secondly it’s all about the compensation if(when) the -10 doesn’t make its certification deadline. Delta wants a very very good discount on another Boeing model that is certified if the -10 doesn’t make it. I don’t dare say it, but it’s that other Boeing jet that is struggling right now.

At a minimum, a few tails wouldn’t be bad as spare parts birds to keep the current fleet flying longer.
