I see very little cost savings to the company. Multiple big wins for the pilots(especially the new GS trigger). Seems like the company was bluffing all this time. With all the 220 deliveries seemed impossible they could furlough 1900 and staff the airline. Early guess but I think only around 700-1000 end up on UNA 30 hr pay

Weekend flyer: Do we have an agreement?

Agree wholeheartedly

My read is that the company overplayed their hand. I think we are well positioned financially (break even surprise late Q4 or January) with rising bookings and a need for pilots to remain available going into the summer but can’t telegraph that to the industry or the government. I’m almost willing to bet Valentine’s Day 2022 will be a good day.

I agree that senior vs junior is not a valid argument. But there could well be some NYC plugs who would rather have 30 hours free than do the NYC plug life for 65. Perhaps that's just how it works... I know we can't please everyone. Seems like a pretty solid agreement overall. Has me reconsidering my LOA20-03 no vote, assuming I can see some actual contractual language in time to change it.

The most junior pilots here, have they been stuck in that special training pay status since about March ? -And-
Will they continue to be on the training pay monthly guarantee, but at about half that rate going forward (due to the 30 hour stipulation)?
If so that sucks! I guess its better than just being thrown to the street ASAP but damn, I'm sorry if that is the case.
I'll say again, if this passes and depending on where the UNA cut line is- captain beverages are on me, doubly so for the formerly furloughed. If I'm UNA'd officially, well beverages when I'm back.

I don't disagree.
IMHO, this could also only come about with a pilot group unified against the bad faith behavior we've seen from management. Polling and communications with your reps gave the MEC and NC legitimacy to truly only come back for ratification with something worth ratifying. I think we all held decent ground, and barring weak contractual language, this actually appears to be win-win.

And while the unofficial details of 20-04 look good, let’s wait for the fine print (as you’ve mentioned), to make sure it isn’t laced with mushy language of “at company’s discretion”/“may offer”/etc,etc...30-hour SILs for the UNAs are WAY better than being furloughed. If the details look good I’m leaning “yes” on 20-04 as well.
