I'm pretry sure we are aware. My dad with his high school education retired with pension at 55 or thereabouts, from an entry level government job. He served stateside during the Vietnam war.

He said covid is this generations great depression to deal with. A great depression he missed by about 20 years. So far we haven't gone great depression deep , but covid *has* been bad, 9-11, the great recession, and age 65 were objectively career stalling events any armchair historian can point to which hit *generally* the post boomer crowd the hardest.

I don't begrudge someone their birthday. How can I ? I think millenials get blended into the *post* mileanniaI crowd, which is incorrect. The post milennial generation is the one who grew up on social media and cell phones in their hands even as toddlers---- and they for a few years were on a rocket ship ride in their careers, skipping crappy rungs on the pilot career ladder other generations (plural) dealt with. Well now even they are stalled out too.

I will again acknowledge there are a large number of post 9-11 furloughs on property who are neither boomers nor milennials who lost out on years of earning and time value or money on their retirements. That saddens me.

I am grateful on behalf of my wife and kid this passed, I feel a debt of gratitude to be in a new era of not simply being thrown to the street.

MEC just sent the email out

Another to follow with implementation details

Thanks for the update. I have already figured out my implementation date for the PS to work.....NOW. Booked the EC to work for today. I can easily make up for any TLV cut if I could just get the FA to serve me another beer on my 3 hour flight. Who said this wasn't a win/win?

BTW.....I've been making up for my lost retirement with all the free cokes and Biscoff cookies I could eat over the last 15 years. Of course I weigh 540# and stand 5'5".....I don't think that's a problem , do ya'll?

Has anyone done an analysis of beverage choice for financial recovery? Is a double woodford neat the most efficient way to add value to your trip or do the ice cubes add enough value to make up for the additional drinking time? I’ve also considered a lavatory beer shotgun but the cleanliness factor skeeves me out.

yeah the ink wasn’t even dry on the agreement when they announced positive space to work/from for FA’s. Even as a commuter that is why I placed no negotiating value on this part of the LOA. I’ve seen this movie before.

Good one. Thanks for giving me something to ponder regarding cost effectiveness.

BTW I get a free hat every year by putting in an expense reimbursement. I claim that some kid I brought into the cockpit wore my hat for pics and he had lice. Can't have me spreading lice now can I? You'll recognize me on the line cause I'm the pilot with a new hat that hasn't been run over and drug by my Purdy Neat bag 5 or 6 times.

No reason for them to vote a union in, they just get what we negotiated handed to them.

Bill Gates is a million years old and hasn't had to do a real days work in decades. He is a part of the ruling class and we shouldn't put any stock in what he has to say. Also he is ignoring the fact that ZOOM MEETINGS SUCK and everyone knows it. People who are serious about getting sh!t done will travel for meetings. No one seriously thinks that the invention of the telephone reduced business travel by 50%.

This TA is a no brainer and it should be an easy pass imho.

Solidarity
Amazon has cancelled travel and in-person work (fulfillment centers excepted) through all of 2021. Companies that can successfully have employees work from home and divest their real estate are doing so. Show the CEO, show the shareholders, how much more efficiency you can achieve by closing deals, any deal, remotely rather than with travel and it’s game over for all but essential business travel. Heck, this could be a boon for corporate flight departments again. Until they get undercut by airlines again and that cycle continues. Buggy whips are not coming back.

does any flight attendant at any airline? They also don’t get 353/hr on the A350. Doesn’t mean they don’t get stuff we negotiated. I’m beginning to think they only get what we get if the abbreviation is PS.

im 99% sure all non cons at DL get 3% DC and a 6% match to 401Ks

Pilots get schedules before FAs therefore will have access to PS seats before FAs so not sure how you arrived at no negotiating value
