I only know what I have read about it. But it would be the first vaccine of which I am aware that is forced into people to 'protect' someone else. Which it does not necessarily do.

What do you know about it? You develop vaccine mechanisms on the side? Nothing wrong with reading about it is there? After all that is one way we gain knowledge no?

The vax was not FDA licensed or truly approved. It hasn't gone thru long term testing and rigorous human trials....oh wait, human trials ongoing. I digress.

The vax was approved for emergency use and distribution only. James has a good point about the indemnity applied to the manufacture(s).

The larger question is will this vax be mandated by the employer and what safety nets are going to be given to employees who must maintain a medical certificate for employment should side effects be severe. Will the company provide relief to STD/LTD and sick time to make the employee whole or will they not?

Lots of questions not answered if this still experimental vax is mandated.

Good luck to all of you as this will no doubt be "top of mind" here shortly. Especially when the FA's start screaming that the pilots are not getting the vax.

What about a religious exemption? Like Jehovah’s Witness and blood transfusions. Or Christian Scientists. Not my brand of religion but I’m curious how that would play out.

Yes, over a 100 years ago. Also the original smallpox vaccine was developed in 1796. This case was circa 1905. The smallpox vaccine had been around awhile. Also at the time Mass was one of only 11 states that pursued mandatory vaccine implementation.

Medicine has come a long way since then wouldn't you agree?

There are many, many viable treatments for chyna flu. Small pox was deadly, chyna flu not nearly as much. Funny you need a mandated vaccine (well not yet anyway) to protect you from a virus that you must be tested for to see if you even have it???

This is a precedent that has aged out and will be weak if and when the vax is mandated. People will challenge those mandates in court. I don;'t suspect that Jacobson will hold up for vaccines anymore.
