Ha! Oh I’ve got almost 3 decades to catch up...unless this second dose of vaccine causes me to liquify from the inside.

Wait why is my ear bleeding?!

If you didn't figure it out from the others who responded, he took the VEOP. But regardless, surely you don't think only active pilots can post on here...
Nope but there are retired pilots on Delta FB that are retired and I ask the same question, why are you on here?

I'm awaiting a final decision as to whether I am permanently medically disqualified. If so, I'm deleting my account and quitting

the FB groups. I'm 62 on LTD since Nov 2018 with the equivalent of 737-800 Capt VEOP pay.

Wish me luck,
Sparky

I also worry about how my life will go once I’m forced to retire. Flying airplanes is pretty much all I know and have left anymore.

Not to worry, the day room has lots of puzzles and stuff plus there are some pretty cute chicks on walkers that are mostly easy to catch.

Please explain where and when I lost said credibility there snack food.

Also where does it say in the TOS retired pilots can't post anymore?

Remember, I had about 7 years left before age 65 but elected to take early out to give at least one person junior a seat on the bus. What have you done for your fellow brothers and sisters?

Credibility? You know nothing.

Agreed. My wife is saying same and I've been posting it up here.

mRNA is new, unexplored territory. She hasn't spoken yet to the J&J vax yet.

So when you say "your industry" that means not only that you are not a Delta pilot, you are not even in the airline industry.

SO WHY ARE YOU ON HERE????

just asking.
Niseko? You skied there? Ive been there a bunch when stationed at Misawa

Im not harsh,, tone is tough on the interwebs . My apologies I hope the decision is favorable for your return.

The front line workers I know that have been vaccinated have similar stories.

Covid negative recipients have mild reactions after the second shot.

Those that have had Covid have more severe reactions, and their reactions are after the first shot.

My GP also had Covid, as did I. He says recent studies show you’re not likely to be reinfected. As a result, he and his staff don’t wear PPE without fear of being reinfected or infecting others. Even after the antibodies are gone which can be close to a year according to more recent studies, the immune system is still targeting Covid, possibly for years. Because of that it’s beneficial to get further exposure to strengthen the immune system.

As I said, he and his whole staff have been infected and are living according to their own advice. Because of their confidence, I’m following the same advice.

There are several other posters on here who are obnoxious. Signal-to-noise ratio may not be as high but snark-to-noise ratio is off the charts. Phins at least doesn’t start fights
