Agree. This thread is pretty miserable- seems like it’s the same few posters who turn our threads to politics or toward some controversial cultural flashpoint. I guess it entertains them, like chumming the ocean entertains a fisherman.
Jaww I hope U don’t take the bait and that you keep posting - you normally bring good commentary to the threads.

You don't like being straw-manned any more than the rest of us, yet you're doing it to others with this post. You normally have good perspective but you're not listening right now.

I tried calling one but he jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge last weekend. They said that’s the 4th psychiatrist they lost this year, but they’re currently conducting interviews for the new open spot. That’s normal turnover rate for them so no biggy.
They’d like to apologize to everyone for the delay.

So far I'he been happy with the 135 world. I've met a lot of great people. But yeah I'll admit to being pretty impressionable at that time. When he posted a list of people they wouldn't allow on their jumpseat for something that happened in the 1980's it didn't paint a very rosy picture of major airline life.
Like Bar said, if you can find a disliked captain with whom you can deal (or, better, understand) it can work for you. I've one it as well.
Call it 300 captains in my short tenure here, there are a handful that I didn't enjoy working with. As all the others have said, it is the very opposite of office politics. More like 1000 first dates; spend three days with somebody and decide if you want to keep their number. There have been a few text strings that my wife has enjoyed as I've vented, but just a few.
