The bigger difference is that they did get furloughed and it took over a decade to get back to Capt.

If you look at the "Count pilots senior" function on iCrew I'd say it is very likely. A lot of those have qualifiers and the total pilots column consists of all bids, including those with multiple.
If 7-800 A's plus the wide body slots is actually close then I'd say we'll hit 18 hires. If not on this bid then by years end.

The previous MOAB was March 2019, it had 648 A"s, 200 of which were WB A's.
If this, or rumored numbers up to 800A's on this upcoming April AE are true, it will have epic movement. It really all depends on how much they open the aperture for the WB A's, and the associated cascade. I suspect they may be a little conservative, and hold some WB A's back for now, as they wait and see how Int'l comes back.
As Always, BWYWWWYB. And Just because there is no vacancy, does NOT mean there won't be slots to fill in that category.

Thanks Denny! I was just wondering how many total 330 Captains took the early out. Add that number to the 8 incoming airframes x how many captains per airplane, plus future retirements for 2 years, would give the previous poster around how many slots will be coming up in the next 2 years.
‘There were 196+ or - total (depending on my count accuracy 😀. Some were held over for a year like me and others were held over for a few months till they turned 65 or were displaced.
