WB pipeline appears to be ridiculously backlogged from all the training from the April AE (and others), with some guys going for months waiting on OE. They still haven't reinstated lots of pilots from the April AE. Domestic recovery will likely happen before international anyway. We need to get our domestic fleets to a healthy staffing level.

understand both points, but with this being a 210 day bid, and also the note stating if they don’t have training available they won’t fill spots, seems we have zero room to train wide body busy. Another over promise and under deliver it feels like.

Exactly right. 350 OE right now is ~3 month wait and growing. Literally just spoke with the OE planner yesterday. Once caught up, a significant amount of wide body A positions will be posted on the next AE.

May the odds be ever in your favor if you’re bidding on this one.

This is the part where I say how well the NWA monthly bid system worked with its 110 day conversion window.

It would solve many, if not most, of our issues with the current system.

Or…we could take the 330s off the Cancun etc runs and use them on ‘real’ international runs

Yup, hard to get TOE in with the reduced amount of flying. Also they are short WB (Especially on the 330) LCPs and not many willing to volunteer as they see an onslaught of Greenslips when international returns

Meh. Had 2 different versions if this at 2 different airlines. Still a really cool tool, even if it changed some last minute. Much better tool than our icrew one category at a time to see 1st 2nd 3rd choices of senior pilots.

very underwhelming AE. Without the WB vacancies there won't be much movement imho. I'm guessing this goes senior to the last bid.

400+ Captain positions is underwhelming? Previous Fall AE would have something like 30 A's
