Can I post the screenshots from last May when everyone said AA was going to leave us in the dust with their superior management, or would that be too soon?

The reality is, every one of us had our own opinions/impressions of how this pandemic was going to play out. At one point, I sincerely believed the airline industry was dead. When you see the TSA clearing 87K passengers when they normally clear 2M, how can you not? And yeah yeah, the industry is resilient and blah blah blah. The harsh reality is this tested it like NOTHING prior. Because it wasn't just aviation. It was business. It was hospitality. Tourism. Commerce. Major backbones of our economy came down and came down like a ton of bricks. I'm unbelievably grateful we've (seemingly) turned the corner. Contrary to what the media is portraying with these new strains notwithstanding. The numbers are speaking for themselves. Covid is plummeting. People are confident and have money to spend. States are slamming the doors open. Normalcy, despite what "3 Mask Fauci" says, is very very close. |

Personally, I never said air travel was dead forever, but I did say at least one major legacy would fail.
I'm not quite ready to give up on that prediction; it may take a year or two. Although not comparable, after 9/11 there was a resurgence in airline stocks, then a huge resounding crash as most of the major players headed into bankruptcy. Plenty of huge debts racked up over the last year. International travel will take a long time to recover. Good time to be a new, nimble, ultra LCC starting up. |
Would it theoretically be possible for the company to post like 1000 NYC B positions to bring the UNA guys back and then just seatlock them where they actually want them on the subsequent bid without having to train most of them in their initial category?
