Not the systems test for at-home CBTs, but the LOD test that is the first day of training in ATL.

I think you are referring to the short 10-20 test question modules that are part of each section of the CBTs? The systems test people are referring to here is aka the 141. Typically an hour or two of guided classroom review with an instructor on day 1 followed by the eSV (THE test). One hundred questions with three, maybe four hours to complete. No one ever takes that long. If it takes more than an hour or two, you probably are not doing so hot.

It's worth noting, if it is your first type from a manufacturer, then there is also a "Welcome to Boeing/Airbus" day before the 141/"test day". No jeopardy, just more guided instructor review.

I did not have this test.. All I was assigned was the test done before class started.. The first day of class we did FMS training and never had a systems test

Interesting. I have not heard of this. What fleet? Normal initial course?

717 coming from the 88. If a system's test is required we still should have been assigned one I would think?

There is (was) no systems test for the short course transition. Just the home study was all that was required. An eSV is required for all full courses as far as I know.

Aye, ok. That kinda makes sense. Is the 717 even a different type rating? Or are they all considered DC-9?
