Default Masks mandatory at all times?

Did I read the email correctly that we are now required to wear a mask while actively flying?

“While the TSA Security Directive exempts persons from wearing a mask if it creates a risk to health, safety, or job duty, pilots are expected to wear their mask at all times while on the aircraft. It may be temporarily removed if it impedes a necessary function in the flight deck, but the flight deck door must be closed. There are no exceptions to mask wear if a flight attendant is on the flight deck, except those outlined below.”

Sounds pretty clear to me. (unlike my fogged up glasses). Masks on, except for the extremely narrowly defined exceptions.

Time to buy A LOT more anti-fog wipes for the spectacles.

Seeing and speaking clearly are necessary functions while flying, so my mask will properly be off.

Especially now that pilots qualify to get the vaccine in most states. I'd like to hear a rational science based argument on why two (or even one) vaccinated pilots have to continue to wear masks in the cockpit.

If the anti-fog wipes don't work in all conditions, my mask is coming off. I'm not letting the mask create a safety risk. If the mask interferes with communication, it's coming off. According to this wording, I am required to wear the mask while sleeping in the crew bunk. GMAB. This is one of the most ridiculous things I've read in a while. It's enough to turn a common sense mask wearing individual into an "Anti-Masker".

There is a cockpit voice recorder installed. There is no ‘mask detector’ installed, except the other pilot. I’ll do whatever the other pilot prefers. The end.
