You have 90 on paper. That means nothing in NY320B, a lot of guys are nqta and some will leave later to other bases.

Trips are worthless and you’ll be abused on rsv, if you decide to bid rsv.

I’m guessing base, equipment, seat. Most of us refer to it as category.

Ah yes, I’ve been here a bit now and have never heard your category referred to in that way.

Junior NB B. I have an open green slip request and get ARCOS calls on about 75% of my days off. We are doomed this summer if travel numbers and Covid rates just continue a normal linear progression. Ed announced middle seats now blocked until end of April. I have to think they are getting closer to opening everything but if the rate of travel starts to grow exponentially they just won’t be able to keep up with demand.

Rooster is correct. NQAT gets the full ALV, which in some categories next month is 84 (4 hours above Res Guarantee), but in yours is 73 (only 1 hour above).

I was trying to express sympathy to you for working so dang much, especially while some/many are NQAT. Apparently I didn’t put it very well.

Circa 2015/16 it was really awesome. Flew lots of 4-leg, 4-days and even the occasional 3-leg, 4 day. My jam was the one leg out to SAN, 18 hour overnight, then one leg back home...best thing going. Then they started adding penalty laps on the front and back, and the trips went to crap. Some of the days were longer than DTW-AMS, just with no meal or a nap lol. Then the dawn patrol departure, day layover, followed by a redeye to the east coast to sit an hour and DH home. Still some pretty good trips from a few quick looks in the packets.

I haven't either, I think that's a UAL term. Funny how each airline has their vernacular...like when I (an AF guy) shows up to a Navy field. I'm fairly certain that guy is speaking english, but I'm not sure what he said.

I was unaware of that, good to know. Always good to start out the day knowing you're getting just a little more pay than expected lol.

Yup, junior lineholders and reserve might get subjected to leggy MD88 style days, or brutal optimizer 7+ block hr 3 leg days(PUJ, MEX, etc penalty laps)

Right?! And not even really junior. After 8 years on the MadDog I went to the 73 in ‘16, hoping for those gravy transcons. But that was right about the time many flights were being upguaged. At 40% I found myself doing 88 style trips with AUS, CMH, and BWI layovers. And yes lots of MEX. Not really what I was expecting.

At 40%? Did you bid to avoid 3 leg days? I'm at 35% and got weekends off, plenty of transcons, West Coast layovers, no more than 2 legs a day except for one 3 day trip(simple bidding mistake after years of reserve) which I was able to drop.
