WB B living in base. 1-2 SC per month used rarely. Currently averaging 1 LC trip a month. With VAC average around 77-78 credit per month.

If I commuted, or they used reserves more than 2 trips per month, I’d probably take the upgrade instead.

Which base abs approx seniority on it if you don’t mind?

There is a lot of growth on the 330 fleet over the next few years. Here is the most recent delivery schedule...2021-3, 2022-8, 2023-8, 2024-7, 2025-3. That growth coupled with around 400-500 retirements a year should lead to plenty of widebody positions going forward.

That's nice and all, but I'd bet we will be losing B767 at a similar rate. Plus, we parked all those 777, that's a lot of lift that went away.

I'm not the guy who wrote above, but I had a similar lifestyle in DTW in the bottom quarter of the seniority list.

I will say winter is pretty brutal to those who want a line. Typical schedule that I saw (I bid reserve often) was two 32-35 hour trips, adding up to around 66 hours (which was just at the bottom of the LCW). Most trips were 6 day trips, so there was no way to pick up a third one. Any 3 days that showed up were sucked up by the senior pilots.

Every 339 and 359 on order still leaves us short from where we were in 2019. 18 777 gone, 20 (was 24) 359. Don’t know 767 numbers in 2019 but assume mid-50s, and we’ve got 37 339 on order. There’s a void in orders to get back to where we were in 2019. Expect it’s down to A v B for prices. Airbus have a good handful of white tail 339s.

Theres a handful of 350s available down in South America that we may partially own. Seems like they should just migrate north.

We paid $62m to not take four of their sister ships 10 months ago. We usually play acquisitions very keenly, so now is a good time to get the best out of A and B. Rest of world will lag US for recovery and widebodies will lag overall. They’ll be happy to shift some inventory.

Man. I forgot about that deal. Imagine what we would pay to actually get those planes.

If you subtract those four, we are even further behind on widebodies. Either we shrink a bunch international after 2025, or more orders are coming. Originally I think the 777s would be on until the end of the decade PLUS 39 strong 359 fleet, and 767s lasting a bit more than 2025.
