I mean. They are calling the shots. As pilots, we have a very small say in the whole picture.

I am not interested in selling one bit of scope at this company. Whether it be a RJ or through a JV.

I’d ask any EDV pilot a serious question. 12 months ago had a flow down been proposed and 500 of our UNA guys flow down to EDV and sit in the left seat, what would your thoughts be on that?

I am 100% positive no Endeavor pilot would have been receptive to that. The same way that no Delta pilot is interested in more RJs or an Aero Mexico 787 flying our passenger through Mexico City to where ever.

Scope is the ONE SECTION that I think every pilot at this company unanimously agrees that we need to not only tighten up, but protect.

Delta can fly their 35 large RJs all day. Without the connection on the side. Whether they do that or not, I’m all for them hiring Endeavor pilots.

This is a classic case of the book you read when you were a kid. If you give a mouse a cookie…… instead it’s “If you give Delta 35 large RJs…. They’ll want a few wide bodies too.”

I don't think most of us EDV guys want to see you folks lose scope either (I certainly don't), but I also don't think very many Endeavor pilots would turn down a job offer if it was extended... Honestly I think we'd rather see all the regional flying go mainline, as long as it doesn't mean we're out of work...

Of course they wouldn’t. But if those two things are tied together, you’re gonna see a looooooot of DAL pilots fighting that flow, because of the scope.

It’s in the best interests of the EDV pilot group to ensure those two items are not tied together.

Totally understandable. I actually really resent the fact that Delta seems to be using me and my fellow EDV pilots in this way to try to undermine your contract.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Stop it.

Everyone has a price. If the company offered 30% raises, 1st class deadheads, 787s plus enhanced JVs etc etc to restore 35 RJs it'll pass 90%+

Exactly. Flow away. Flush down. I don’t care. Don’t tie it to a scope issue though.

You wanna fly your 35 large RJs…. Then fly them at mainline, or don’t fly them. If we need pilots, they can create a flow at their discretion. Delta pilots aren’t involved in hiring. We are involved in flying our metal and protecting our jobs. So with all due respect on this issue, the 35 RJs can become beer cans for all I care…. Or Delta can hire 300 guys from Endeavor and add them to our list, then they can go fly a 737 in NYC while some 2008 hire gladly captains an RJ and loves his or her QOL.

Well, we know that ain’t happening. It’s too expensive, management can’t afford it.

If I heard correctly, that move was in and of itself a HUGE break for anyone trying to get to Delta.

For me the big thing is attitude....attitude to learn about Delta, self improve and study for the interview. I saw and dealt with some people on the flow programs of the past, and some were just arrogant for lack of better terms.

Study, prepare, talk about your stumbles in life (we ALL have) and you will highly likely succeed in the interview.

I sincerely wish the best, regional pilots work hard.
Yes, but the thing is. We had less than 5 total guys that has failed the jkt. It wasn't holding us back. Suspiciously we had a huge number of success cases not make it past the shrink.
