The company sure wasn’t willing to substitute Endeavor for Compass 7 months ago when they were trying to furlough.

Pound sand.

In other news, watch Deltanet tomorrow:

“Company announces rebranding of Endeavor Air as Compass Airlines”

And we all go “we didn’t think they would do that”

I first heard the story of the jump seating VP when I was still a regional pilot. I’ve heard it since then. I think plans have changed. I think management sees how badly they need to bring up capacity to compete with the other airlines that didn’t put themselves in a large staffing hole. ATL doesn’t have training capacity to hire many pilots to bring back “retired” airplanes or staff accelerated deliveries. They do have multiple regional partners who can spool up to staff 35 RJs that haven’t been put into long term storage like they were supposed to. Those planes and the flow are a short term stop gap that may get taken away by an arbitrator after a drawn out grievance. Or, if management gets their way, those planes stay anyway.
There are plenty of captains at 9E that I’ve flown with who have gotten a TBNT from Delta but are amazing captains. They put in more work than the captains I’ve seen from Delta yet now they’ve gotten a double no. Yet there are captains I’d have on my no fly list and go out of my way to never fly with again that make it to Delta. At the end of the day Deltas interview/onboarding process doesn’t “weed out” the incompetent people.

You’re making an all or nothing statement. I was 9E, there are some still there that I’m surprised didn’t make it, but there’s also some that don’t surprise me at all. Same goes for those who did make the fence. I the end it comes down to what the hiring people think, and that may not jive with plenty of other peoples thoughts. It’s their ball, they control the game.

As far as a flow, management has stated their interpretation of what they can do and now DALPA has stated their opposition to that interpretation. Whether it’s posturing and something will get negotiated or management will just go down their own road and deal with an arbitrator remains to be seen.

I suppose management could start another new regional with only a flow down, and not a flow up.

You seem to be the one with blinders. I've known plenty of guys who definitely shouldn't get hired who got hired on their first attempt and quite a few awesome guys and pilots who got turned down. There's a large amount of luck in getting hired here. We're not that special, get over yourself.

with the amount you share your opinion on here maybe you can take your own advice and get over yourself. I responded to a guy who thinks he knows who should and shouldn’t get hired here. But whatever man throw daggers through a keyboard

LOA speaks to intent. It was not incorporated as a part of the PWA but rather an addendum.

I guess the Chairmen's letter answers this question.
