I had no idea PB was such a talented soft shoe man. Absolutely no mention of his infamous memo in his latest video blog. Just ignore it and it will all be fine. He had the perfect segue set up too. Congratulating the first re/indoc class and other hiring news with the new PR school added to propel. ...and hiring continues with our flow from... nope! I did get entertainment value by waiting through the whole video for it, but alas an unhappy ending, what a tease.

The alien show thing is a legitimate show needing a legitimate company. The baffling claims of aliens here now or in the past is not.

Leslie something or other, the one who wrote the NYT piece, is a freelance access journalist. The access? Entertainment, not ufology. Though i suppose if i read enough made up crap I'm probably a ufologist. DeLonge and his weirdos are true believers, and... They are true believers trying to make a buck. They feed the NYT leslie whatever media and ufo stories to get clicks, The nyt single handedly creates what appears to be a groundswell of stories popping up about aliens which helps the show.

anyway, enjoy.

The marketing campaign was hilsrious success. The media hits mostly started on a NYT article that was so clickbaity other "journalists" reported on the story written to surf off their clicks. That's an easy way to steal someone elses work: report on someone elses work, citing that work, and convincing the reader you looked into it. Spoiler alert, they didnt, but you pay the bills.

Yeah I don’t think many Delta pilots think the shrink adds anything of value to the interview process.

Speculative thought:

That Delta has a psych eval after a CJO is common knowledge in the industry.

The purpose may be candidate self-selection: no one applies to Delta unless they're reasonably confident this won't be an issue.

As someone in a category with a large PMDL/PMNW mix I don’t know about value but it definitely does…. something

See, i thought NOT believing in aliens scored more points. I did slip him a ten spot to give me a passing grade, i could have saved some money.

Could you expand on that? I saw it in action during the NE merge.

50% of this alien tv news crap is a guerrilla marketing campaign by discovery or history channel for some new alien tv show that was set to come out last year (and it probably did but i dont have cable to watch it)

The other 50% of this aliens crap is bad journalism.

Save the aluminum foil for the kitchen or bbq.
That one guy with his hair pointed straight up and his eyes bugged out looks like someone I would not trust to pilot a 172.
