EDVALPA played the card they were given. Again, EDVALPA does not negotiate DALPA scope. Furthermore, both DL/9E MECs have a great relationship, it’s just your fantasy that there will be internal strife.

When you going to management anyway?

It's not a threat, I've been through this more than a decade ago and it will not serve either group. It's a genuine hope that history doesn't repeat itself and that we somehow maintain a cohesive union and end the C scale outsourcing. Mainline will be hiring for the foreseeable future because we just early outed almost 2000 pilots and are still on pace to lose 500/year. Moving regional flying to mainline helps us all. There is acceptability for a stapled list that was not previously evident. That is a "flow" with DALPA sanction and SCOPE maintained. Unfortunately I see this 9E move as building animosity.

You obviously don't get me. When has 9E ever made an agreement with another airline management? This was not dealt, it was offered and accepted, choices being the distinction. Are you wanting to maintain your career at 9E or go the a major? The SCOPE will affect you.

The root cause of the issue is LOA 9 is poorly written.

Yes, language and our motivation to defend it has always been the root cause of our problems.

Let me ask Delta pilots this; would you strongly advocate for a staple, should 9E not accept this TA? And when I say strongly, I mean be willing to damn near strike for it?

Absolutely not. I would not bet my job on DALPA advocating for a 9E staple.
