So that's why the merger happened. A meeting of the minds regarding ridiculous acronyms (RRA).
And the final result of the RRA is the DBBOA (Delta Big Book of Acronyms) since we can't have anything NWA.

Default New Hire Question

Hello everyone! I am a new hire in the 3/26 indoc class and wanted to get some advice on fleet/base choices. Would you select ATL 7ER or 320? I currently live in Tallahassee, FL, and do not plan on moving to base. Where would seniority progression happen faster? What is the difference in types of flying? Thank you in advance!

your best bet is 717ATL, most junior fleet so rapid progression and you’ll have Tallahassee overnights. It will possibly be the most junior aircraft in the drop assuming it’s in there.

320 has better/the best seniority progression

I highly doubt a new hire right now will progress faster in ATL320 rather than ATL717. That was definitely true last year, but now ATL717 has been moving very fast on the junior end due to people who got stuck with it bidding off. Trips are way better too. TLH layovers are on the 320 as well, or at least used to be.

well they asked about the 320 or the 7ER in ATL, not the 717

I can’t speak to the bus, but the ER seniority movement in Atlanta is slow.

Just to add to the 717 discussion, the 717 is probably your only shot at getting ATL right off the bat. Very few drops have included anything else in ATL recently. So going to the 320 or 7ER is going to mean at least a month or two of two-leg commuting to another base before you can get transferred to ATL. If that’s what you’re willing to do if you really want to fly those fleets, that’s perfectly fine, just wanted you to be aware going in.
