Default Delta WiFi moving to Amazon Leo

Looks like Delta decided to change the WiFi provider. Also, probably a slight benefit to the SEA operation as Delta integrates more deeply with Seattle corporate customers.

Because if there’s one thing Delta should’ve learned from the AWS-induced IROP last fall, it’s that we should become more dependent on AWS.

Doing it to capture SEA corporate business brings back MS Surface flashbacks as well.

So they're giving up on ViaSat? Why can't we just have starlink? Works great on United and every foreign carrier I've flown on.

I left my surface on the SEA ramp after it started smoking in the cockpit. I know Delta leadership hates Musk but eventually they will be on Starlink. Just give it time.

Using starlink would require management admitting they made a mistake. Choosing Amazon, although still not deployed is a move to "the best and newest offering for our customers." Pure management self serving messaging. We rode the surface tablet into the ground and still refused to change until Jeps did is a favor and discontinued the MS product. This management team won't admit a mistake!

Amazon has satellite internet?

Why not just punt and go with Starlink? Makes no sense other than perhaps some corporate personal beef with Elon. Geez, just about every first tier airline outfit is now using Starlink. Well folks, once again another shining example of the "delta difference".

Ed’s words were “Good luck with Elon” when a pilot asked about United and Starlink. Nevermind the fact that he notoriously bragged to the media about driving a Tesla a decade ago.

I’m in rare agreement with sailingfun on this. Delta will switch to Starlink in 10+ years, which will be the industry standard long before then.
