I suppose? Sounds about right. Perhaps another fleet joins at some point.

Some pilots want to do away with weight, speed and efficiency in pay rates despite that factor it’s probably the single biggest factor why pilots are paid as well as they are at the major airlines.

Does efficiency play into it at all? The 223 pays less than the 319 despite way lower burns for same capacity.

Nah, they’ll stick 50 seats in it and let 9E do it.

PS From 2017: “While the current list of pre-orderers is still under wraps, we do know of one customer: Richard Branson's Virgin Group ordered ten Boom planes before the prototype had even been fully designed, and it has also offered the facilities and engineering expertise of its Virgin Galactic team to help in research, development. and ground testing.”

I think it is includes CRJ and E170 families. 220, 320, 737, 757, 767, 330, 350, CRJ, E170.

Aerion just folded. Tried to build a 50+ pax SST, had orders from Flexjet, MOUs from Netjets, $ from Boeing. Was “green” (of course).

The real miracle technology with private venture SST is their marketing departments. That, and their ability to waste money at near government spending levels before the inevitable shut down.

I’ll buy that. Those are being simplified too. 170 gone after the summer, 200s gone after 2023 and the 700s are getting tired.

That was by far the most confident I've seen Ed speaking in an official capacity since the beginning of this mess. He repeatedly said they expect to be back to 2019 revenue levels by 2023, if not sooner. We need planes and people yesterday.
