Wow, that is a clear indication that the pipeline might be starting to dry out. Traditionally they've had about a 4 week lead time, which was about right for people to be able to properly prep themselves for the interview (even after they dumped the knowledge test).

They have moved the wait from getting the email to assessment. Times are anywhere from 4-6 weeks between the email saying we want you to take the assessment and the actual assessment email. Shorter time to prepare for the HR, but seriously, if you need that extra week to prep for the HR after waiting for an assessment that there’s not much prep for, you are doing it wrong. Not like they are taking the job knowledge test like we used to.
So shorter than what it used to be. That and the slowdown in interviewing they did when the pool was at 6+ months was designed to reduce this wait, because while people were waiting they were taking other jobs and turning down their CJO (also one of the reasons the last hiring manager was fired).

Ah ok, that makes more sense. I knew they were trying to get the entire window shortened, i just didn't know there was that big of a lag between the initial contact and the assessment.

Yeah, see my edit too. I clarified a couple other things too. I should reread my posts before I hit submit.

Honestly it's probably better this way since it allows people to better prep for the assessment knowing that it's coming, as opposed to studying just in the hope that you'll get the call eventually.

Do you have to use a mouse for the online assessment on the tunnel and multitask modules, or can you use your finger with a touch screen like the CutE practice tests? I find the touch screen much easier but obviously want to practice appropriately. Thanks!

Not sure if you can do the real assessment on touchscreen, used a mouse myself and increased a bit the sensitivity, worked out well.

Received my top tier 3/15 and just got the second email today, 4/19, saying I’d receive an assessment link within 24 hours.

When did you have you submit your application/have it scored?

More than 6 months. But 3/13 I updated with the required 1000 turbine and got the top tier two days later.

They weren’t sending out the “top tier” email when I got hired, so I’m not familiar. Does it mean you’re going to be called for an interview? Friend of mine just got it and is trying to decide if he needs to be prepping.

The email says you’re placed in their “top tier” for consideration. And that they’ll send you an assessment invite in the “near future.” For me that meant 5 weeks. You have to pass the assessment to get an interview invite.
