I was in the Minneapolis crew room taking the elevator upstairs. A Captain turns to my FO and asks if I do the walk around. FO laughed and said "not yet". The Captain then says "Don't worry, once we hire him he will do them for me" . I laughed and told him I hope they hire me soon because I was tired of flying the 717. 🤣🤣🤣

One can only hope! I know I would feel fulfilled as a cis he-him airline pilot if we were (Gasp!) allowed to join our worldwide brethren in facial grooming. That being said, with this opening from the Co, I'm more optimistic that we'll first see the godawful jacket go the way of the dodo. #babysteps

IDK about that. Reading between the lines (branded socks? umm ok) under the lens of past history, I don't think there's any chance of losing the jacket. Zero point zero chance of a silly little windbreaker etc. The wool peacoat question was interesting. Hats are clearly here to stay, with perhaps some relief/optionality with the summer uniform (possible but still not likely IMO). Another interesting set of questions implied someone somewhere saw the mandatory branded rest break pajamas of some foreign carriers and is thinking that might be a good idea here. Please no. Just, please. No.

The hat sucks though. Its bad enough to have to wear it, but its a pretty poor quality hat at that. Semi-floppy when new and it blows out quick with use.
