They straight up said the hats are going nowhere.

Other airlines (namely AA) don't require them on the flight deck, as it interferes with the job.

Honestly I care less about what uniform I have to wear and more about making sure DL pays for it.

I think RAH pilots have a very good uniform allowance policy, IIRC they get, each year, fully company paid
4x shirts
2x pants
1x hat
$150 for shoes

additionally they get a jacket and suitcase at regular intervals (I think 2 or 3 years) and ties and epaulettes as well.

if someone knows better than me please chime in.

How about black converse sneakers? We could go red but I don’t want to step on any toes….

It boggles my mind how we have no uniform allowance. They require us to wear they should provide it.

You're putting too much weight into the survey and giving it the authority to change the uniform. It’s always just been data that they will spin to reinforce whatever outcome they had decided on prior to putting the survey out.

That being said, I don’t hate the hat. I don’t hate all of the buttons because after a training seminar I know how to use them all. I got new dress shoes and they’re pretty comfortable, and my tie clips on and may as well not be there. So I skewed the data in favor of pajamas for no good reason. I don’t think we’ll get pajamas though.

That’s maybe $500 a year. Perdiem commensurate with costs and van tips would easily be $1500 more per year. I’ll pay for it all if we can get back to pre-bankruptcy inflation adjusted wages with an escalator clause.

Contrary to popular belief, the pilot isn’t actually part of the uniform. The uniform is the attire worn by the individual to blend in with coworkers of the same company and job.

So you’re wrong, and your post reflects more on you than the individuals you attempted to belittle.

You must be based in ATL.
