Not gonna lie, I don’t mind the uniform as is. I figured out how to button the extra buttons pretty quickly, and the hat does a nice job covering my bald scalp. The only change I’m asking for is to allow beards, I still have hair growing there.

AF guy here and if we have to keep with the suit jacket look, I'd much rather keep the double breasted jacket we have now. It looks nice and I find it pretty comfortable. That said, I'd rather not have a suit style jacket at all. Then again, I'm not the type that follows, or cares about the latest fashion. Heck, aside from mil/work uniforms, I still have only ever owned one suit that I bought in college. It only sees the light of days for weddings, funerals and job interviews lol.

Hat optional (to keep RDPs happy), single breasted jacket with a north face/windbreaker type substitute option, allow facial hair (the oxygen mask excuse is totally fake, look at all the foreign carriers and Hawaiian).

Flight suits or bust.
Or we can accept that a single breasted suit with no hat is the no brainer option that's going to come. I'm sure some single piece of widget flair will be worn on the lapel and it'll be a wrap. Women can have the option of a dress/skirt/pants option to their jacket. Those who want to wear north face jackets are going to do it regardless. No reason losing sleep over this.
Sign it, and let's get back to the negotiating table for a contract
