For what? Enforcing our FOM required uniform policy? We all make 6 figures. Wear the uniform like required and there will be no issues. And packable light black jacket for walk around’s is a no go. That’s precisely what FO was wearing when LCA came to cockpit and chewed us both out about. The FO for not wearing an approved uniform and me for not enforcing the policy. If you tools have an issue take it up with your chief pilots and see how well that goes over. Now back to eating your fruit loops.

when i was in the service and you didn’t wear your uniform as required your ass was toast! Why should it be any different here? Leaving uniform decisions up to individual pilots is a terrible decision because i’ve seen what pilots wear when they choose what they are going to wear. There’s a reason there are uniform standards. We’d look like a bunch of clowns in the circus. Now wear your uniform as specified in fom and stop whining like the babies you all are acting like.

The crazy stupidity of BJ’s rant is that the FOM specifically allows for ‘non-uniform’ jackets to be worn when it’s cold or raining. Heck, you can even rock a black, gray or white scarf if you feel so inclined. FOM 32.2.4
