January in NYC, waiting for the van, girls are wrapped in DAL (Logo) blankets. Inquired as to the location of winter coats. Was told, "It wasn't cold when we left Miami."

I can't remember the last time I saw a pilot in the terminal walking around without a hat.

NYC RD recently pulled a Capt off his rotation for not wearing his hat…sent him home on the spot, without pay.

With all the green slips flying around for short staffing, I’m throwing the red challenge flag here. This sounds like a load of crap.

And, some flight office monkey can’t take a guys pay over the hat. There’s a disciplinary process with alpa in place for losing pay. Some suit’s whim doesn’t cut it. Your story is bunk.

Bingo. You’re not even in uniform at that point. That’s how I and many others have interpreted the verbiage in the FOM.

I’ll take things that didn’t happen for $200, please.

Imagine the issues the CPO and RD actually spend their time dealing with on a daily basis, then consider how realistic this story sounds.

I also tell my kids that they will get coal for Christmas if they are bad.
