Prepare Yourselves… 2022 AEs

Unbelievable we have people trying to justify ways to make concessions.
NO change to PB days is warranted. ALPA claims no forced productivity gives and this would be a huge one and a huge QOL loss.
No deal is better than a bad deal.

Of course, I'd rather they just get QOL gains like fewer days on call/month and keep the GS system as is. On the flip side, a deal doesn't have to be a bad one, even if PB days went away. As an example (mentioned above), if they dropped the number of days on call per month, allowed more flexibility in min days on/max off day blocks and made reserve GS 200%, I'd take a look at that deal. I'd gladly take something like this, as it's a QOL gain for every reserve pilot in the system, not just the ones who can roll thunder all the time. This from a guy who has a fat PB day bank. All the extra cash is great and I'm enjoying using my PB days, but I'd rather have a more stable reserve schedule, fewer on call days and small on call blocks. That's a true QOL gain.

My favorite quote is “If the company wants it, then it’s a concession.”

I wonder what that does for the timing of the next AE. If they’re not even getting people to training until early next year, I doubt they’ll want to do another AE before the end of the year.
Looks like they’re already falling behind on the plan for 2023 ([not]surprised face).

That makes a lot of sense; however, if they’re not able to begin training from the August AE until January, then IDK what good it would do them to run another AE until they had solid training capacity in place.
Why run an AE in December if they can’t send anyone to training until March/April? Hence why I was saying it sounds like they’re already behind the power curve.
