I don’t see how those Briggs would hold up to airline life. The handle extension looks like it would be useless after one month. Is it really $600 durable? I guess that would be my main concern (the flimsy looking handle).

I will say you will be easier on a lighter bag. Part of the reason why pilots are so hard on luggage works bags is because of it's massive weight. Can you tell that I hate the Luggage Works bags?

LW Carbon here for airline use, and B&R for leisure use. My Briggs is 10 years old now, I've used the warranty a couple of times for minor issues. It has never let me down and has seen around 2 million miles of pretty intense international travel.
The LW is total garbage compared to Briggs, things like zippers are from a different planet in terms of durability and quality. And the B&R warranty works just like they promise, "no matter what". When the bag is in condition that they cannot repair it, they will send you a new one. You can fit more stickers on the LW though. So there is something it does better than the B&R. |

Got this old Pelican case on wheels as my main suitcase for clothes and a good Husky tool case as my flight bag. Basically all the stuff for my flight goes in my tool box/carry bag. It’s a good combo. Only thing I did was tape up the Husky logo with Gorilla tape.

Strongbags again. Started by a WN pilot, specific for the 737. No issues. I still have my 26” Purdy Neat Stuff bag from 2001 as a side note—thing is a tank. But doesn’t work for us at WN.

How does B&R hold up against curbs, stairs, and escalators? I'm not commuting anymore but I'm also not very gentle to my bag. My LW has held up well for 10 years, but its heavy and sharp so I'm considering alternatives.
I tend to drag mine up step by step rolling it vs taking ramps and I’ve noticed no issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I flew with a Captain who had a spinner bag and it looked super easy to use and seemed durable enough. It was an eBags something but I don’t see that one on their website. Has anyone on here had a spinner that will hold up to our kind of abuse? FYI I am now on an International fleet which in general seems to make things easier on our luggage
