If a pilot is hell bent on QOL sacrifice the pay and bid 717B, 220B, Widebody B etc

dropping and then picking up white slips, as claimed, absolutely requires blue days.

This is not true. You can swap into a trip and drop more days than you pick up. For instance, you can drop 12-15 days and pick up 2-4 as long as the math works, which is does a lot of times in the first few days of the month.. You can then WS to recover the credit.

as long as the math works. You show me a category where dropping 15 days and picking up 4 results in a net reserve gain and I’ll eat my hat.

and again, that’s swapping trips, not dropping trips.

keep in mind, trip claimed to have dropped “almost all” of his/her trips in 2021. That’s an unreasonable claim, at least when applied to anyone but an extremely lucky minority

You do realize that if someone picks up a trip from you via the swap board it's a trip drop right? The Swap Board does not mean you have to swap a trip.

And the swap board requires someone to want the crappy trip you don’t want. And with everyone’s burn out, probably not a lot of pick ups happening.

I don't scrutinize. I improvise.

If you're all about the QOL there is a category somewhere that will fit your needs.

Did that much of my career to get the 4th of July off when I could not hold it. Works for New Year’s Day also but I like the 4th more!

But everyone can do it! And we arent going to get a better deal than TA1!

Trip takes care of trip. He tells these stories, in the manner he tells them, because hes only interested in people saying "wow" and "please teach me". At some point youre swatting at flies.

Reading these forums I'm surprised that anyone would want to be a pilot even if a college degree wasn't required and the company paid for all your ratings.... Why, you'd have to be a chump I tell 'ya. Psshah, a real fool.

in case you missed it the first time
