I'm sure most on here can hold 717B or 220B and be ultra senior. Your trips will get picked up and you can fly one or two trips a month and enjoy wonderful QOL.

I didn't see anyone thank CBeeezy for a great bidding tip. THANKS CBREEZY!. $$$$There are several of these tips out there. I told people many(all) the one's I know and it usually falls on deaf ears but the whining didn't subside.

I do take care of myself. I don't sit around and complain about my situation, I use the seniority that I have to the best of my ability to reach the pay and QOL goals I'm looking for.

Folks on here complaining about QOL and if you're truly about the QOL there is a means to reach that goal. Not every Delta pilot desires pure QOL flying virtually a part time schedule. For evey QOL pilot there is likely 2-3 pilots willing to GS or pick up a trip from you via the SB.

keep in mind, trip claimed to have dropped “almost all” of his/her trips in 2021. That’s an unreasonable claim, at least when applied to anyone but an extremely lucky minority
Sure. Look at ATL320B. First two days are -16. Pick up a 2 day trip on those days and with the coverage the rest of the month, you can easily drop 3 trips. Drop 15 pick up 2. Wait until the 30th when the whole first week tanks and you can do wash rinse and repeat with any remaining trips. I'm sure you can do this across any number of NB fleets.

If you're all about the QOL there is a category somewhere that will fit your needs.

please tell me in which LAX category I can have your same luck. You know, for my QOL.

or just admit that your good luck is extremely unusual and that other people have legitimate gripes

Almost every single day on LAX320B is blue.

Copied straight from the CQ fatigue management lesson. “It’s easy, just be senior.”

You are emphasizing the point we are all discussing. QOL that was available across multiple BES now only exists in transient silos.

Why limit to LAX? I said there is SOMEWHERE in the system that will meet your QOL needs. Figure it out.

If a pilot is truly all about the QOL, outside of being hired in the last year, it's VERY easy to have enough seniority SOMEWHERE right now to clear most of your schedule or hide on RES. And as others have mentioned, that's not considering all the SLI, ACP positions open right now for the sleep in my bed every night crowd.

Maybe I'm being to harsh on some of the folks that might not truly want pure QOL and are just doing some healthy venting

All of that is great and all (minus the “just be senior” and “just move to a new BES, idiot” tips), but QOL is more than just being able to drop trips. Reducing long airport sits, reducing 11 hour layovers, increasing commutability, etc are all things that would improve QOL.
