Ok, how large of a day one check is Delta going to be able to write? Is there a limit? 1.5B, 3B, 5B? I mean you can't possibly think there is no expiration date on meaningful retro....

The bid posted yesterday.
You mean the results? I’m going with 1600 on the 20th. Might carry over until Monday. |

Didn’t the last bid awards posts in record time last time? Like about 24 hours after closing?
Yeah, it was fast. That’s why I’m guessing COB on Friday (bid closes Wednesday), but it wouldn’t shock me if it was done on Thursday, or if it carried over the weekend. |

When I go to Deltanet the latest AE posting is Feb22.
I see now what you’re saying. Memo said it was going to be posted yesterday. Not sure why it’s not on Deltanet. |

And there’s no warning to check your bids on the iCrew main screen.

A big enough check to not incentivize dragging out negotiations again. Needs to be painful. If it’s not, it’s a win for them.

First the cart is waaaay in front of the horse when discussing retro pay.
I think the calculation for true full retro pay will be nearly impossible to determine. The easy part is hourly rate difference applied over the flying done past the amendable date. Harder is the soft credit: training, vacation, home study, insurance premiums... Harder still is the work rules that should have been in effect. We don’t even know what those are yet, but they could include items like bidding for long term training, trip coverage ladder changes, and on and on. Had the contract been active over the last few years there would potentially have been many wronged pilots. What’s the value of that? As time goes on calculating true retro pay will become too big of a task. In my opinion we need to have the difference in pay rates and a percentage above that to cover some of the other items. I know that’s potentially a huge check for the company to write. However, if we don’t get that we are encouraging the company to not negotiate the next contract on time. |
Are the ALPA COVID protections still in place or did those expire? (NFLY) no sickbank reduction etc. Just tested positive, is there a good current document to reference? Thanks.
