Any guess on when our 2 ‘Spirit Passes’ for the meltdown will show up in Travelent. You know…trust but verify.

Look, I don’t support an IROP LOA. The company didn’t follow the PWA during the last IROP, why would they follow an LOA?

I also don’t want everything going to memrat. I trust my reps to make sound, informed decisions.

This isn't the CC'er mentality at all and is pretty reasonable. I used to trust them, then they esssentially gave away batch sizes for pennies on the dollar. Nothing wrong with a little verification. If it's true that they're looking to work with the company on a LOA for IROP help, it must go to MEMRAT. Only way it doesn't is if the reps think it won't pass...

You trust the TA2019 no voters to make decisions for you? Or the TA1 yes voters?

The tired ChitChat cliche. I’ve never used CC. If their theme revolves around holding the people at ALPA who work for us / receive our dues accountable, then I’m all for it.

I realize that you’re relatively new here. Major disappointment lies ahead for you if you truly believe in your last sentence. Many start out with full faith in ALPA, myself included. As years and decades go by, you’ll discover the importance of being an active and often critical participant.

How about the company pays us correctly, as the contract/law already requires, with nothing offered by us in return?

My point really was, I would bet ALPA is going to give the company IROPS relief in exchange for nothing, so why not add something so we at least get a benefit out of it.

Why not exactly? It's online voting, and if you don't want to vote, then don't vote. It doesn't negatively affect you at all to have it go to memrat.

They will likely try to. I was directing that comment more at the MEC. Negotiating the company into compliance is absurd.

Pay issues should instead be handled by a massive, multi-million dollar lawsuit against Delta. Once pay mishandling no longer affects thousands of pilots and all are paid correctly (with interest), then the legal matter can be resolved.

In the meantime, the MEC shouldn’t be entertaining anything that the company is asking for at the table, regardless of what the company may be offering in exchange (likely nothing).

Many folks understood your argument, we just completely disagree with it. And for a reason.

Far too often over time, most reps have not proven themselves trustworthy on side deals/LOA’s. Many, many examples during bankruptcy. A disaster was averted with TA1 when grassroots involvement exposed more holes than a block of Swiss cheese, and ‘offending’ reps were tossed out on their ear. ARCOS “Batch Size” giveaway was but one recent example why all LOA’s should, by default, go to MEMRAT. There have been good reps, to be sure, but the pilots who are skeptical are that way for a reason.
