Question: when using the Personal Drop in Leave Requests, I have put in multiple Priorities beacuse I'm trying to PD mutliple bad trips off my line. If Priority 1 is honored, will PCS consider my request for leave satisfied and end processing Priorities 2, 3, 4, etc?

Yup. Stupid that we don't just have a selection for drop as many of these trips as possible. |
Thanks for the quick replies, friends!

Looks like the tidal wave of Academia over Common sense continues to hit Europe:
A concept known as extended minimum crew operations (eMCO) would require one pilot to leave the flight deck to rest during cruise on long-haul flights, while the other pilot remains on the flight deck alone. An additional concept envisioned along the same line, single-pilot operations, would allow for the possibility of operations by a single pilot in all phases of flight. The Association recently released a white paper that discusses the Airbus single-pilot agenda in greater detail. The push to implement reduced-crew operations is driven primarily by technological advances in flight deck automation and the promise of artificial intelligence. Airlines and aircraft manufacturers believe these advances will reduce labor costs. Proponents have argued for an aggressive timeline for implementation, suggesting that eMCO could be introduced before the end of the decade, and possibly within the next few years My impression (based on their pay and work rules) is the European pilot unions don't have as much sway as we do, but I hope they are fighting this tooth and nail. |
S2 Shenanigans
Has anyone heard of Pilots or FAs listing S2 every time they nonrev and going well above the 6X per year limit? Two different guys metioned it on my last trip but I never heard of this before. I just assumed that the Delta IT would flag this kind of behavior or is the pop up that asks you if you really want to list as an S2 just a bluff?
Then again assuming any capability regarding Delta IT is probably pretty foolish. I am curious if this was just a case of one employee going rogue and it being blown out of proportion. Scoop |

Well, a click of a button on travelnet shows literally every flight taken on an employee's pass benefits (and positive space) easily sortable by the type of pass used for their entire employment history.
So it would be trivially easy for a supervisor to catch this if they were interested. |
