There are always lots of get out of jail free cards. You aren't required to be in position, you've drank alcohol, you aren't near your uniform or tablet. While TECHNICALLY, you could be, the IA call is a robo call and you are given an option to be forwarded to an active scheduler where you'll be put in the hold queue where you'll find out someone 10000 numbers your junior already answered

I’ve only ever had the robocalls where they tell you what is available and then give you a prompt to call scheduling if you are interested. IDK if I’ve heard of an actual scheduler calling anytime in the last decade, which is what it would take to be on the hook.

Thanks for the replies, figured as much and of course I've always waited and called back. Just wanted to verify since it's been awhile in case I'm extra motivated to work. This one would've worked out well but after waiting over 10 minutes on hold I missed it.

They probably figured out that this system will fix how much they're under paying and are afraid they can't afford it lol.
