Frankly, nobody knows. I honestly don’t know any other employers who create so much uncertainty and distrust for their employees. Thousands of posts here and elsewhere simply trying to figure out how they were cheated and how to get their employer to make it right. Strange how quickly disfunction can become normalized.

Amen brother. The disfunction is so rampant we have come to expect it.

But now they have an extra pilot in the system with reserves still available for assignment. At SWA we are all online reserves after check-in and the company loves to remind us of that status. They Can’t reassign us if we’re at home…

Don't tell Delta guys this. They think we are the only ones being used as reroute reserves.

Anymore, I'm actually surprised when scheduling actually gets it right wrt GS pay/PB days. Sadly, that's a rare occasion.

No they don’t. They’re just tired of it and it didn’t used to be this way so it’s aggravating.

If I were running an airline, that is the flexibility I would want. But I am a pilot - and I want to give the airline that freedom - I just want them to "SHOW ME THE MONEY"

AFAIK, SWA reroutes are commonplace, but company gotta pay pay pay. Isn't that why WN FOs routinely make "too beaucoup" bucks while working their fingers to the bone for their 12 days a month?

shhh, the Old guys from the previous MEC’s that brought you such generous and non paying reroute rules don’t want you to read that. My buddy at SW lives the occasional reroute, says it pays for his golf membership. No BS about weather, equip, nothing. If it’s different than your original trip, pay up.
