Pilots making 3 or 4x's the average worker aren't a sympathetic demographic to anyone. Even other pilots, judging on the poo flinging here.

don't just think in terms of rates or pay. If the contract is allowing leadership to put safety, for example at risk, an intervention by congress may be to mitigate stupid scheduling practices, force more layover time etc. I.e. if things we are truly trying to achieve outside of just money enhances safety and reliability those might be things congress or even mediators would be sympathetic towards.
