So what!!!! Do the math… the result is that it’s a management issue, not a pilot issue. A properly staffed airline and not selling seats on airplanes we don’t have pilots for would’ve fixed this problem. They either needed to pull down flying, increase hiring, or cancel flights. They’re doing a combination of those things now.

This is a result of poor management decisions circa March 2020 to present day!

LMAO. Someone puts out extremely erroneous information and you say so what and go into a vent. You arent wrong about the issues you mentioned but there is no need to promote erroneous information to make a case.

If PB days are an untouchable item for the pilot group then the Union will let the company know and the process will continue.

Australia is all 4-day trips with late sign ins. Easily covered by reserves bidding minimum blocks.

Surprising, being that Delta has been an International airline since 1953. You'd think they would figure it out by now. They had 777's for 21 years. That is a long time to not figure out the reserve system. Especially when they were able to drag the contract through the mud during BK. Trip keeps saying this is the best airline management team in the world. How could the best airline management team in the world not be able to figure out a simple reserve system to handle long haul international flying?

Can I get an AMEN!! Our PWA has built in protections against poor staffing. Imagine if we had something as effective as PB days for scope violations.

When I got hired we had one trip to London and maybe Frankfurt. The international flying has evolved a bit since then as well as the FAR’s.

Looking to kill PB days to fix some International reserve coverage issues is like buying a whole construction company so you can dig a hole in your backyard. It gets the job done but wow, wrong solution.

In a way I hope it is a company ask, it makes them sound more ridiculous than how sailing makes ALPA sound. I highly doubt this is a real talk at the table, maybe casually mentioned mostly in jest.

Except they don't seem interested in fixing the root cause of the "excessive" PB days. They probing to see if we're dumb enough to waive them away instead.
