There was a bit of contention about the contract between a former UNA pilot and Burns. He says the company has an “industry leading” contract on the table and basically insinuates that ALPA isn’t playing ball. As usual a bunch of company rhetoric and finger pointing bull****.

What’s kind of sad is they don’t even try to pretend that their offer is as much as they can afford. They think leading the industry that hasn’t had a peer ratify a contract since inflation blew up is somehow something to tout??? They dry run these talking points on third graders.
No, scratch that. Even third graders have v recognized the need to boost their allowance just to keep up inflationary rises on LOL dolls and playstation games. I don’t think they’ve tried these talking points on anyone but themselves and their yes men.

I guess Burns must be touting a 30% pay raise, full retro, all QOL enhancements, min day pay, CQ pay, full pay for vacation, and positive space...that would be industry leading, I wonder if that's what Burns is talking about....eye roll.

Reminiscing about the clip of Homer Simpson getting the Union President job clip (Local Chapter International Brotherhood of Jazz Dancers, Pastry Chefs, and Nuclear Technicians)...
The money quote:
What does the job pay?
Nothing!
'Doh!
Unless you're crooked.
Whooo-hooo!
(Not to imply that ALPA is crooked. Mostly. Funny for reasons though).

Seems like a lot abstained instead of voting in this small union of mechanics. 7 out of 12 unions have approved the TA, 2 rejected.
