Nobody reads ‘Flying the Line’ I or II anymore. It’s a shame.

You can’t cover the flying because that is struck work.

You do know how her fight with the company turned out don't you?
the things I have seen starting with Ambrosi make me want to throw up
Have you even read her letter?
- arbitrators have been "purchased" by management
- the company uses the HIMS program to "terrorize" pilots (funny, I've only read good things about how it has "saved lives" in any other communique about the program, which I am thankful I am not fully aware of the particulars)
- ALPA leaders "look the other way"
- ALPA leaders "stab the members in the back" in order to crawl into mgmt positions
- ALPA leadership is a bunch of "puppets" who smile, tell us what we want to hear, then do the opposite
- pilots aspiring to be MEC Chair do so so that they can work their way into a mgmt job
- dues are excessively high (okay I agree there)
I just don't see a collective MEC rallying around her
The best part about it is how she will hold the reps accountable in the voting. And at least she has written a letter to us. Where are the other candidates' letters? (Hint: they don't need them because it is all in the bag already). The good ole boys club lives on.

That would be considered struck work. Highly unlikely the company would even want that outcome. They would likely fly a reduced schedule where it made sense with no mainline operation.

With our incoming MEC chairman we will never have to worry about going on strike. He didn’t even want the strike vote to be taken. You can forget about anybody “throwing rocks” at the company. It’s sad to me that the LEC has chosen the path of proactive engagement but they are a political organization and deals have been made.

Pilot's aren't supposed to cross other pilot's strike lines.
