So you are saying you going home is more important than someone with 30 years with the company going to see family for the only time that year? Got it. Want my employee #? Where on your already long DNF list would I fit? 🤔

Maybe they think if everyone is on their DNF then they won’t need to commute 🤔

This thread is pointless. I liked POS, most pilots I’ve spoken to liked POS. None want ALPA to spend any negotiating capital on POS. The list of things people I’ve spoken with want most are: money, money, soft credit, money, retirement funds, then QOL items with medical and vacation leading the way.

If you really want POS, talk to your reps and have them add that item in ALPA’s polling. The majority of pilots will direct which way ALPA negotiates. Until then this is just divisive to our group.

This is one of the dumbest threads I’ve ever read on here

Agree. Can't believe it's still going.

I don’t see the company ever giving positive space commuting again. It’s about inventory and revenue production. 40000 employees taking up seats whenever they want isn’t going to happen. Getting to work has always been the employees problem and non revenue travel has always been “just in case” there’s a seat left. Payload optimization and a fattening public aren’t helping. Jumpseats have always been the seats available for commuting and I don’t see it changing. FAs and pilots have seats available to them for confirmed seats to and from work. It worked before and it will work in the future. The company doesn’t care about QOL or ease of commuting when it’s put up against revenue generation.

^^^^^^This....

And back to the point of this post, it’s about where I believe the union should fight. We have medical, just not the greatest. We have a commuting policy, just not the greatest. I want the union to fight for a better commuting policy, especially for the back half (getting home). You see things your way, I see them mine.

Your medical coverage improving isn’t more important than me getting home to my family.

You would be number 1. Except I didn’t ask for yours, unless you forgot to log out of a different account.

Feel free to send it though.

This is the goal of Delta's sick policy combined with our medical plans.

Now I know this is going to draw a lot of hate, but I want it to be stated, it’s as ridiculous as people saying the end of the LOA was a good thing.

Opinions? Am I wrong? Seems to make sense to me…

There's a way to divide people, and a way to unite us. This is a divisive mindset.
