It takes a few seconds to look at and accept or decline.

But yes, I get it doesn't always work that way, I was in a category where I received less than 10 GS calls in 3-4 years...and only got 2 of them. I just had to play a different game, but I still would have fought to keep PB days.
Yeah I get what you and others are saying. I guess I just threaded the needle of when I was junior, no one got GS. And now I’m much more senior and in a category that is staffed well enough, it’s still rare to catch even one GS a month. (May and June this year were exceptions) I’m not 737B… it’s not as simple as just let ARCOS call and you can be selective. If ARCOS calls, you probably need to take it otherwise you might not get another one. ARCOS is typically calling a few hours before, not the night before. I tried rolling thunder a few times and it is not the pleasant experience the rest of the airline achieves. More power to all of you who can credit 100 hours and work 4-5 days a month. Enjoy it while it lasts! Seriously, happy for everyone that can make it work!

I don’t understand this rumored bullet point. Is this the NW system of all trips above 80 hours = 150%? Or is it company tagged trips at 150%?

The 150% WS seems like a huge deal. Hopefully the NC shot that down.

Take a minute to ask yourself Why? Why would they want to get rid of PBs? Is it because it severely penalizes them from running the operation "a little hot"? Right now they have a big thorn in their side to "optimizing" the Air Line permanently.

Because of "mistakes were made" and "poor planning" I think we'd be critically understaffed coming out of Covid no matter what. The important part is how do they view this longterm?

Will they run the Air Line "a little hot" forever? Maybe. Maybe they are OK paying 130 hours for 10 days of RSV flying. The fact that they went after PBs (something that's been in the PWA for decades) tells me they are a) not OK with that and b) want to be thinly staffed but not pay the substantial PB "tax" to do so.

Btw I have been a line-holder most of my time here and have only ever gotten two PBs. Rolling thunder would be awesome but I can't have a whole month of not knowing my days off in advance so it's not for me. I still recognize the worth of it though.

People keep saying enjoy it while it lasts like this hasn’t been the way the airline has ran for over 5+ years now. Go look at the data! Unless we have a change of leadership and networking, this is our normal. That’s like saying just suffer through these awful rotation builds because eventually it will go back to how it was 10 years ago.

Yup. Any QOL degradation is here to stay if it makes the company more efficient on paper.

just used 2 PB days for 15:43 credit.

Both PB days came from picking up a GS on my last day off. Both GS paid a total of 4 hours (DH days only on last day off)

Without the PB I wouldn't think about GS those trips. Let's take away PB from all pilots because less than .5% figured out how to take advantage of earned PB days.

Staffing hasn't been anywhere near adequate since the summer we halted hiring because Ryan Gumm determined we were overstaffed by 500 pilots. 2017 the birth of the sodomizer. We have lost a lot of our collective memory in the last 2 years. We need to keep saying how it used to be because there are 5000ish pilots who have no idea.

Yup.

It’s same reason reroutes should pay 200% for the trip. As it stands there’s practically zero penalty so the company abuses it. We need protection.

Fun fact: EDV ALPA happily signed away any control of the reserve grid when they signed the 150% WS LOA. The day it went into effect (early 2016ish?) was basically the last day a pilot was able to drop a trip.
