You do when you work for a bunch of dirt bags who’ve been emboldened by the local FAA office. It’s not a problem until it is.

Have you ever worked for a regional? I can assure you there were way more dirtbags where I worked than where I work now.
I didn’t say the dirt bags were at Delta, did I? But it only takes one new manager to change the paradigm. |

Then I don't understand what you're saying then. Please, be specific with your complaint.

I'm not complaining. People here are saying that there's zero reason to have absolute control with a paper release and I'm saying there is a reason and possibly others. YMMv

Planning to bid a Huff Daland and be based in MLU next AE, too. The paper release, while antiquated, is the last leverage we have over gate agents. Gate agent doesn’t get it until everyone on the crew is happy. We should keep it for that reason alone. Send the flames. |

Worked for 6 companies and started 5 over the years. A regional was the ONLY company where the actual CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES came together, unified across partisan lines, to pass legislation to stop the stupid bull-effluvia the regional's chief pilot was doing - keeping people on airplanes overnight to avoid hotel rooms & costs during IROPS. Joe Biden, with all of his experience, nor Barak Obama with his charm, or even Reagan could unify America. But, leave it to a regional chief pilot. Congratulations Doug Helms, this **Federal Law** is for you https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-1...ter-A/part-259 |

I know I’m slow and I have to take my shoes off to count above 10, but I’m confused….pilots don’t have to check email = we get Mission+?
I don’t see the connection. Was there an option to get some amazing app that was the best of FD Pro + Foreflight + John Bell HTML combined but we had to open up an email to initiate, and the union put their foot down with email optionality? Theres a very specific reason for that, and you don’t want it changed. |

The only official notification the company is permitted to use is in-person or phone contact. No text messages, no answering machine messages, no app notifications, no emails, no notes under the hotel the door.
