The point is, we could buy a much better off-the-shelf product.

Or, we could create our own like United. Their app is incredible.

Or, we could keep HTML and eliminate paper.

Any of those three options would be better than M+. I have no faith in their ability to make this app good. Their first attempt and subsequent tweaks prove their development team isn't in touch. They spent how many man hours in implementing location based ATA that is glitchy and drains battery. They could have improved the layout or any number of other requests, instead they added a feature nobody asked for, and did it poorly.

So then make it happen!

Too many layers. It’s not intuitive. Any app that’s worth a darn you should be able to pick it up and start using it effectively, efficiently and quickly, right from the jump. I can’t think of one other I need to sit and mull over and use over and over to get comfortable with.

I’m getting flashbacks to Surface 2 and Surface 3 (not pro versions, nor iPads).

Today, Mission- wanted me to login once again (while inflight) but never allowed the keyboard to appear to let me do it. This went on for about 10 minutes then magically fixed itself.

I’m admittedly a late adopter of technology. I tried using M+ a few legs last trip (didn’t try too hard).

To me, seems overly complex. Why so much tapping and so many hiding spots? I prefer scrolling the HTML plan still. I can find stuff in seconds. Why not just send the HTML FP to the app? Send inflight updates the same way. Simple.

Shocker, this is the same company that puts out our PBS app. Why tap once when you can tap three times?

Personally I’m pretty meh about Mission +. Is It bad? I don’t think so. Good? Not really either. There’s things to like. It’s gotten pretty easy after a trip and a half to know where things are. Notams and the signing the release are my biggest gripes. Along with adding a crew rest and cross wind calculator. I’d like to see the scheduled time of arrival at the top on the nav log section so not to click around after forgetting 5 seconds later what time were due in

Ineptitude is the right word. The lack of talent in the IT department is abysmal. We're constantly given workarounds for poorly built portals, interfaces, apps, even logging onto travelnet is a disaster with continuous VPN error messages. It's absolutely insane that an airline who loves to brag how technologically advanced we are at any given opportunity is still running on the most outdated softwares out there. The hypocrisy just never ends. Look at how they built a perfectly fine platform to book positive space tickets that are linked to your skymiles account for the very few who get to use that privilege, while 80% of the company is still required to go through 10 steps to book and check in for flights.

Given that MiCrew seems pretty good, and the HTML release is sufficient and has some nice functionality with minor problems that were never fixed with the hyperlinks, I'm inclined to think there just aren't enough actual software developers at Delta rather than it being a lack of aptitude. Does anyone have any inside information on the manpower of UA's tech team vs DL? There are just a lot of small things that make me think the people that do the work don't have time to linger on anything which is necessary for improvement. UA has enough horsepower in that department that they wired up the ORD deice pad shortly after opening it and caused a significant delay because they needed to reset the router or something. I don't see anything like that at Delta, nor "silent push."

Are there more than the 5 or so guys that introduced themselves that are responsible for putting all this together?

I didn't read all the pages but I'm going to say something crazy: I like mission plus. It's better than the **** html. Boom

Guessing you’re not over 50 and unable to handle change?

After using it for a few trips now it's fine. Just wish NOTAMs were a little easier to digest. Also the signing process is pretty dumb. Most airlines don't even make the FO sign the release anyway.
