Why can't the mission plus signing process be this simple? Pretty sure the most low-level app developer could make this.

How will they know it was you that certified it? The kid that just visited the flight deck to pee in your seat and leave lice in your hat also certified your restfulness.

Delta A350 integrated EFB with electronic flight plan process.
-Select name from drop down menu-
-Select fit for duty
-Enter PIN.
Chuckle at the absurdity to retain sanity, THEN
-Print release from electronic flight plan OR take page 1 from the printed 100 page flight plan.
-Sign release with a pen
-Hand paper release to agent
We stopped doing the e-sign steps and reverted to signing page one of the old paper flight plan. Now we depart with visual nuisance on the electronic flight folder indicating we have not signed the flight plan.
Don't Ever Let Technology Advance (DELTA)
/rant on/ As much as we all love to complain about Delta IT, the shortfalls in most of our employee facing products are due to management failures at delivering a proper scope of work. iCrew, MiCrew, PBS and now Mission + could all be fantastic apps if the person signing off on the RFP for acquisition or development knew how to generate a proper scope of work. IMHO, we shouldn't be longing for JBs product, we should have him creating the scope of work that is delivered to our vendors. The effectiveness of his knowledge could be multiplied by the number of coders taking his direction. /Rant off/

Envoy had something similar, simple button click for FO to sign fit for duty and CA to sign flight plan, completely independent of each other. Hopefully mission plus makes this way smoother!

The whole thing is so bureaucratic and pointless anyway. We wouldn't be departing if we weren't fit to fly or if we didn't like the flight plan.

I haven't done any of it yet but from the comments here, I think I'll wait until it's due. In May? A virtual pen and ink signature on an electronic document is so last decade. And if I can't sort NOTAMs quickly, I'll wait. Too many last minute runway changes and a short memory.

Just dropping in to point out that M+ is a third party app that Delta bought, Delta IT didn’t design it, nor did they design things like the delta app. Stuff like that gets farmed out. Not defending M+, I just cringe when I see people complain about IT, when really it should be directed at whatever management team picked this and had the chance to customize it.

It also could be that our current dispatch output is so archaic that we needed extreme customization to get it to fit. Like fitting a square peg into a cheese grater.
