It's pretty crazy how much power the FAA gives to a single individual, and how much company policy can be dictated by whims of the POI. These decisions should not be left to, "some guy doesn't like it," so you can't do it, especially when other airlines are doing it. |
It would be nice if the Day/Night Mode actually worked.
In the meantime: iPad Settings --> Accessibility --> Per-App Settings (at the bottom) --> Add App (Add Mission+) --> Mission+ --> Smart Invert --> On Mission+ will now change from Dark to Light with your overall iPad Display and Brightness toggle. I think a lot of complaints would disappear if pilots used the Light Mode. Now if only "All Alternates" displayed all of the alternates. |

I just tried and my shortcuts still work. I think they have required that they not be shared and promoted, but if you already have them then they still work. I'm sure over time they will start breaking down as updates happen to the apps but not to the shortcuts.

My experience has been that M+ isn’t that bad to use and is fairly easy to pick up on.
I used it for about 3-4 weeks before I decided to go back to the old HTML version. Why? Because it’s easier and better at this point. Why suffer through a subpar product until I have to? It’s like going to a restaurant and ordering the tofu because eventually they’re going to run out of prime rib. I’m not eating tofu until I have to. |

"Revealed preference" is a real thing. --- For the diehards shouting from the rooftops about how totally witchin' the M+ app is, I'm reminded of the adage: "The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons." |

I don't know a single person, except for the tech pilots, that are screaming about how good it is. Not one.
Still waiting on true NOTAM reform as well, but that's another issue. I wonder what level of redundancy we'll have going forward. Say, a year or two after its mandatory on all fleets and the paper has been phased out. Then M+ tanks for a day or three. Now what? Will we always have printers and a process to push it system wide on demand? If it ever becomes a single point of failure at least we'll get more spirit passes maybe. |

It does toggle automatically back to dark mode at night, but returns to light mode in the day.
If you add a quick settings toggle for day/night you can switch back and forth as you desire |

M+ is an abhorrent application. Get John, Oak and the other guys together and let them rebuild the app - you know, real line pilots. Not management or management wannabees. On blaming BS for this, that's being disingenuous. He inherited the project and the horse had left the barn on where it was going when he got in position. BS is a pilot, like us, but in management. My hope, still, is he replaces JL. That RG got the SVP job bodes well for that movement. RG has reached the peak of peter principle pyramid. Sorry for the derail there |
