Same here. Just forced myself to use it. Griped about it for a trip or two and have now settled into a usable flow. At this point I'm an M+ user but I don't like M+. The UI is clunky and laughably bad (only comes in dark mode!? Lol), it is poorly thought out with respect to our normal work flow and the procedure to sign the release is idiotic. There is just so much room for improvement.

Guy I flew with last month showed me how to get a day-mode version of M+......In the Ipad settings, scroll on left side to Accessibility. Scroll to the bottom, hit Per-App Settings. Add app. Throw M+ in there. Then turn Smart Invert on. Puts M+ in a daytime/white backround. I like it, only downside is no way to toggle between day/night mode in the app, I think.

And this right here summarizes the functionality of M-

M+ has potential, it really does. The issue though is what was sent to us, just should not of been. The fact we are "expecting further updates" truly shows how out of touch the IT team is. The current version that we have should never of been what was sent to the entire pilot group, rather initial testers... The fact we just couldn't find a way to incorporate the HTML flight version into a PDF and allow to edit that more, would have made the transition much more smoother too. It also would have allowed for a lot less pushback as everyone was very happy with the HTML and the current layout.

Wait, did they also block the ability for the 'other' (VanDemark?) shortcut to open apps, load FD Pro, etc too????????????

And that's kinda my point. The fact that we have to have a workaround like that for something that forms a cornerstone of our day to day operations speaks volumes. Are all your flights at night? Are they all during the day? Yeah, me neither. Or do you sometimes takeoff at night and land in daylight? Or takeoff in daylight and land at night? I just can't believe that no one brought something like that up during the design process or the beta testing. What's worse, I suspect that it DID come up and it was decided "eh...the pilots can live with it. What's REALLY important is having a fourth layer of user selectable NOTAM priority! And what shade of orange should it be!?" Its the tool we were given but it's just laughable.

For the love of all things holy, why? All it did was open apps and load the route??? WTAF???

What possible security issue could be involved there? I mean, that's just petty and vindictive.

Why would you need to reference the flight log to load the FMS?

Cruise mach…step alt cruise mach. CI would be nice…we don’t use it. Reporting points….but I’d be willing to report whatever point…that’s less an issue.

It isn’t hard to observe a pilot from every fleet load the FMS…then provide the necessary preflight info. If I have to finger bang all over the place…then I’ll just use the html.

The sign in mech…gmafb. Let’s be honest…one pilot is going to make scribbles for everyone’s sig…there isn’t going to be airdrops or the passing around of iPads. It’s terrible. I scan my badge at the gate, I sign into acars, my iPad has my face recognition…and this is what we come up with for the release? Laughable.

Things do get better....eventually.

Anyone remember the Surface 2? Or the 3, which was actually worse because you had to carry a separate battery with it?

About 1 time in 5 the thing would go into some kind of deep reset boot cycle that would take it 10 times as long to boot. Then it was always a crapshoot if the apps would even open.

It was kind of comedic when they finally, finally thew in the towel on that whole program.
