I don’t think breezy is missing the point. To write information on a paper, you have to look at the source document. To share to oak notes you only look at the menu that says share, and then never view the briefing, which is the source. It’s completely different, unless you are hitting share and reading through the m+ briefing before viewing your oak notes.
Miss+ is an abhorrent app. Talk to Trip about the last LCP meeting. A groundswell revolt is happening. I just finished a trip, day one, I was logged out of Miss+ 5 times before I even hit the NATS. Same thing on way home (only logged out 3 times though), worse case was it was right as I was about to coast out and I needed some info. I'm filing an ASAP every time Miss+ logs me out. I recommend you all so the same. If they are going to foist this crappy app on us, we need to point out the safety side of it being unstable and with a UI written by JV level programmers. |

under that same "logic" when you get a clearance read to you, you write it down - correct? Same thing Fangs and DWC are talking about. You and your alter ego are missing their point.

There is no groundswell revolt happening. Again, Mission+ is very similar to the A350 Avionics software. Training success rate was rough at first but the pilot group eventually adapted. Same with Mission+. I am not experiencing the logout issues you are. My fleet has Viasat in every aircraft so that may be why. 7ER non Viasat aircraft WiFi is caliente basura. I have been using Mission+ for months now. I used it today. I see zero safety issues and believe it's a good start with big improvements on the horizon. |

Then I stopped reading. As usual your ego and dbaggery overruns any point you might have been trying to make. |
Mission+ is fine. It’s not great, but it’s also not worth the complaints. Y’all sound ridiculous

No. An appropriate analogy is a JS gets your clearance for you while you were doing your walkaround and hands it to you when you get back. That's what Oaknotes does.
The big difference is no one is handwriting already-issued PDC clearances, because the PDC format is good enough as is. Clearly, many don't feel that way about Mission+. |

I'll call foul on that analogy. To even get to OakNotes you have to have Mission+ open--you share from Mission+ in the first place. You don't just click on some "download flight plan to OakNotes" link. To borrow from your (flawed) analogy, it would more accurately be like the other pilot printing out the ACARS PDC, then handwriting the same clearance on the other side of the paper, but in a more "user friendly" format. If for some reason in this example, you preferred the handwritten transcription, what's the problem--so long as you verified that it contained the same info as the official PDC printed on the other side?

Honestly, the thing that is irritating the most is the ridiculously long lead time to get the “fixes” fielded. |

Not even close to analogous.
This is a much, much better analogy. But again, it’s moot. I’d agree with the first part. We will all get used to it in time, and it will be fine. But the complaints do have merit, and are the only reason there is a 60ish item list of fixes at all. It’s super clunky to use in its current form, as evidenced by the uproar over Oaknotes in the first place (which I didn’t even use). Honestly, the thing that is irritating the most is the ridiculously long lead time to get the “fixes” fielded. |

... do you know exactly how Oaknotes works? How do you know it's scraping data correctly?
The accusation was made that Oaknotes hides data. The specific complaint was that Oaknotes was graying out notams were it interpreted the NOTAM to be irrelevant due to the date/time. However, Oaknotes still showed the NOTAM in gray font should the interpretation be incorrect. There is a discussion on SkyHub. Speaking of hiding information, one of my pet peeves is how Mission+ behaves if you have two alternates, the second alternate does not show up in the FDRA, Flight Information or fuel planning. You can only find the second alternate in In Flight -> Final Alternates or clicking on All Alternates in the dashboard to get to Final Alternates. Oak Notes is good. However, the big picture is that Oak Notes was popular because Mission+ is such poor quality. |
